Dr. Shahidul Islam is a distinguished professional whose career seamlessly bridges military leadership, academic excellence, and technological expertise. With an illustrious 27-year tenure in the Bangladesh Army, Dr. Islam retired honorably as a Colonel in 2019. A seasoned signal corps officer, he cultivated deep proficiency in cybersecurity, information technology, and telecommunications—skills that laid the foundation for his exceptional post-military endeavors.

Dr. Islam is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management from Canada. He earned his MBA from the prestigious Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s University, Canada, and went on to complete his Ph.D. in Business Administration (Marketing) at the University of South Alabama, USA. He is currently serving as a Professor of Supply Chain Management in the Department of Business Administration at the Cofrin School of Business, University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, USA.
An active scholar, Dr. Islam has contributed to the field of marketing through
publications in esteemed outlets such as the Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice and various respected marketing conference proceedings. His research interests span brand management, sustainability, and advanced research methodology.
Dr. Islam embodies a rare fusion of strategic insight, global academic rigor, and
technical acumen—making him a compelling thought leader in the realms of
business, technology, and innovation.
